Higher Learning Commission Self-Study and

Site Visit: March 3-6, 2013


The University of Akron is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In preparation for a 2013 site visit, the University prepared a self-study to examine performance based on five core components:

  • Mission
  • Ethical and Responsible Conduct
  • Teaching and Learning - Quality, Resources, and Support
  • Teaching and Learning - Evaluation and Improvement
  • Resources, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness

Update:

As reported to the Board of Trustees, the Higher Learning Commission has confirmed that our accredited status continues, with the next Reaffirmation of Accreditation due in 2022-23. Read more (UAnet ID and password required):
